Harmonisation of local control panel UIs on the paper machine line

The essential objective was to find a cost-efficient and flexible implementation and manufacturing method for UI graphics, without forgetting Metso design. A great deal of emphasis was placed on making assembly easier, standardising control functions, and improving usability by, for instance, increasing clarity.

The result was a label system that was standardised as much as possible, and which covered the enclosure identifiers of various structure groups as well as the adhesive labels of rotary switches, replete with symbols.

Our duties: idea generation, concepting, graphic design of adhesive labels and symbols, and assessment of manufacturing methods.
